چکیده
Cross-diffusion may be an important driving force of pattern formation in population models. Recently, a relation between cross-diffusion and reaction-diffusion systems has been revealed from the mathematical modeling point view. In this paper, we derive predator–prey model with simple system two behavioral states predator examine whether can induce spatial patterns We assume that predators have identical characteristics except for their mobility searching activity preys: consider states, namely less mobile preys more actively than predators. Our analysis shows derived situation if prey-density-dependent conversion rate state to one increases rapidly at high prey density.

In this paper, spatial patterns of a Holling– Tanner predator-prey model subject to cross diffusion, which means the prey species exercise a self-defense mechanism to protect themselves from the attack of the predator are investigated. By using the bifurcation theory, the conditions of Hopf and Turing bifurcation critical line in a spatial domain are obtained. A series of numerical simulations ...

Keywords: Predator–prey model Stage-structure Stability Cross-diffusion Non-constant positive steady states a b s t r a c t This paper is concerned with the reaction diffusion version with homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions of a stage-structured predator–prey model. We first show that the nonnegative constant steady states are globally stable, which implies that corresponding elliptic syst...
متن کاملVariation in predator foraging behaviour changes predatorprey spatiotemporal dynamics
1. Foraging underlies the ability of all animals to acquire essential resources and thus provides a critical link to understand population dynamics. A key issue is how variation in foraging behaviour affects foraging efficiency and predator–prey interactions in spatially heterogeneous environments. However, there is very little quantitative information available on this topic. 2. We evaluated t...

and Applied Analysis 3 If b > h, from the second equation of model (6), one has: . v ≤ v (b − h − hmv) . (9) A standard comparison argument shows that lim sup t→∞ v (t) ≤ b − h hm ≜ α. (10) If b ≤ h, we have the following differential inequality: . v ≤ −hmv2 mv + 1 , (11) and the same argument above yields lim sup t→∞ v (t) ≤ 0. (12) In either case, the second inequality of (7) holds. 2.2. Boun...
